Fireweed - Limited Edition Linocut Print

Part of the Colors of Summer collection, celebrating the plants, colors, and memories that define summer in Alaska.

Fireweed has always been my favorite flower. It was the subject of the very first linocut I ever carved in a drawing class at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Almost twenty years later, I rediscovered that block while organizing my studio, and I couldn't stop thinking about carving fireweed again. It became one of the very first prints I designed for Colors of Summer.

The vibrant pink of fireweed in bloom is one of the colors that will always mean summer to me.

Designed and printed in my Juneau, Alaska studio. Each print is hand-carved and hand-printed, so no two are exactly alike. You will receive a random numbered print from the edition.
